Fire doors provide a critical barrier to both smoke and heat in the event of a fire. Well-fitted doors will hold back fire and smoke, preventing escape routes from becoming unusable, as well as preventing the fire spreading from one area to another.

When you require a fire door fitting service we hope that it's reassuring for you to know that Abacus A.B. Ltd are a registered Gerda Security Q MARK fire door installer. The certification scheme gives a trace able link from the door manufacture right through to the installation process.

We also hold a FIRAS certification for fire and residential doors installation and maintenance. There is a legal requirement for those responsible for buildings under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order to ensure that all fire doors continue to retain their ability to resist the passage and spread of fire throughout their working lives. However, their fire resistance capabilities can be seriously compromised if they are not maintained and installed by an individual who has appropriate knowledge of this complex life safety product.
